What is Cialis?
Cialis is a phosphodiesterase inhibitor that is used to help men with erectile dysfunction.
How does Cialis work?
Cialis Brand contains an ingredient called tadalafil which helps men obtain an erection. This drug enables the muscles to relax. This causes an increase in the amount of blood that flows to a man's penis. When he is sexually aroused, he will be able to get an erection that will be strong enough for sexual intercourse.
What is the recommended dosage?
Usually a doctor will prescribe 10mg which should be taken with a glass of water about half an hour before sexual arousal. You do not need to take Cialis with food. The effects of this drug may last as long as 36 hours. During this time a man will be able to obtain an erection when stimulated.
Doses must not be increased or decreased unless instructed by your doctor.
Important Information about this drug
Do not use Cialis if you are taking medicines that contain the following substances: nitrates, prazosin, guandadrel, erythromycin, or terazosin. Do not take Cialis if you are using an HIV medication. If taken with Cialis, these substances could cause serious side effects. There may be a risk of a very low blood pressure, which could cause a heart attack or stroke.
If you are using a beta-blocker to treat hypertension, Cialis should be used with caution.
When using Cialis you are advised not to drink excessive amounts of alcohol. This can cause an increase in your heart rate, dizziness, low blood pressure, or headaches.
If you feel dizzy, nauseous, or feel tightness in your chest, or a tingling sensation in your arms or facial area, after sexual intercourse, do not continue using Cialis until you have spoken to your doctor.
If your penis remains erect for more than 4 hours after sexual intercourse, speak to your doctor because this is dangerous and could damage your penile area permanently.
Before you start using Cialis, be sure to tell your doctor if you have suffered with the following: stroke, liver or kidney problems, heart problems, low or high blood pressure, stomach ulcers, bleeding disorder, retinitis pigmentosa, or any problems related to your penis.
Make sure your doctor knows about your medical history and if you are using any other medicines. This includes any over-the-counter and herbal medicines.
Cialis is to be used by males only. This drug is not to be used by children or women.
Avoid drinking grapefruit juice, or eating grapefruit, while taking Cialis. There have been reports of adverse effects when Cialis is used with grapefruit.
Potential side effects
If you suddenly break out in hives, or find it difficult to breathe and your face, tongue, throat or lips swell, this could be a sign of an allergic reaction to this medication. Contact your doctor right away.
Cialis may cause other serious side effects such as nausea, dizziness, vomiting, tightness in the chest, swelling of the ankles and legs, tingling in the arms or face, or prolonged erection. Consult with your doctor if you suffer with any of these symptoms.
You may experience some less serious side effects when first using Cialis. These include muscle aches, back ache, headache, indigestion, vision problems, facial flushing, or a runny nose.
